ONE

Dig hole twice the width of container, and half the depth.

TWO

Remove the plastic container and twine before planting. Rough up roots if needed to encourage growth in their new home. Fibre container should be sliced on the sides and top rim remove (do not disturb the root system). Ball and Burlap remove twine from trunk of tree and slit the burlap to quicken the decaying process of the burlap.

THREE

Set the root flare of the plant, 1 – 2 inches above grade level. If soil is clay based plant higher again. Apply Myke as per directions.

FOUR

Fill hole with planting mixture consisting of 50% native soil and 50% Composted Manure, add several handfuls of Bone Meal / Plant Starter appropriate for the size of the plant. See instructions.

FIVE

Create a horizontal mote and berm to hold water.

SIX

Water the disturbed area thoroughly to eliminate air pockets.

SEVEN

Cover the area with 2-3” of mulch, leaving 2” around the trunk free of mulch.

EIGHT

Stake tree if necessary.
